Beetroot cutlets |Low calorie food| 2cleverfools

Healthy food can be tasty too.

These beetroot cutlets are the perfect example. Beetroot is one of the root vegetable which full of vitamins and is low in calories.

Have a look at the recipe.

Ingredients:

  • Grated Beetroot – 1cup
  • Boiled potatoes – 1cup
  • Ginger garlic chilly paste – 1tbsp
  • Spices as per taste – Red chilly powder, coriander powder, Salt
  • Bread crumbs – 1/2 cup

Method:

  • Mash boiled potatoes,add grated beetroot, ginger garlic chilly paste and spices and mix properly
  • Add bread crumbs and mix again.
  • Prepare small cutlets using your palm.
  • Freeze them for few hours (you can store it for a day).
  • You can air fry,stir fry or deep fry as per your taste.
  • Serve it with green chutney or sauce.

Coconut ladoos|Sweet dish|Easy to cook

Sweets are favorite. They are prepared on occasions and some find it tasty to eat regularly.

Here is the recipe of coconut ladoos. They are easy to prepare and quick too.

Coconut ladoos

 • Time required: 30 minutes
 • Quantity: 12-15 ladoos

 • Ingredients:

  1. Dessicated Coconut – 2 cups
  2. Powdered sugar – 3/4th cup
  3. Milk – 1.5 cup

Method of cooking:

  1. In a pan take dessicated coconut and add milk to it. Mix it.
  2. Add sugar to it and mix.
  3. Keep cooking on low flame. The sugars melts.
  4. Stir and cook till the milk is evaporated.
  5. Let it cool.
  6. You can Cardamom powder and chopped dry fruits (optional).
  7. Make ladoos from the mixture and they ready to eat.

Mini Haryana Thali

Haryani khana is full of nutrition and health.
The food we find there is always fresh and directly from farm.
The ingredients has it own beauty of taste.

The above Thali consists of:
 • Bajra Roti
 • Mixed Dal
 • Raita
 • Kacchi lassi
 • Aloo fry

Let us go through the method of cooking

  1. Bajra Roti:
     • Take some Bajra Atta, knead it with warm water and try to roll it with palm (You can use rolling pin)
     • Roast the roti on tawa, you can ghee if.u want. Roti is ready to serve
  2. Mixed Dal:
    Ingredients:
    Chana Dal – 1/4 cup
    Arhar Dal – 1/4 cup
    Moong Dal – 1/4 cup
    Masur Dal – 1/4 cup
    Maa ki Dal – 3 tbsp
    Spices,Ghee,onion, tomato,garlic,ginger,green chillies

Method of cooking :
 • Wash each dal and pressure cook it together for 3 whistles.
 • In a kadhai, add ghee, add mustard seeds,cumin seeds, hing, tezpatta, chopped onions and ginger garlic paste. Cook it for 2-3 minutes.
 • Now add tomato puree and green chillies to the kadhai and again cook for few minutes.
 • Add turmeric powder,red chilli powder,dhaniya powder,salt and cooked dal.
 • Now on a low flame let the dal cook for 8-10 minutes.
 • Dal is ready to relish.

3. Raita :
 •  Take curd, whisk it. Add salt, chopped onions,boondi and ready to eat.

Tamil Nadu Mini Thali


Mini Thali from Tamil Nadu.

South Indian Food is simple and soulful.
Most people prefer Rice in their diet. It is a complete meal with ‘Taste bhi Health bhi’ thing.

The above mentioned thali is cooked by me for my One week One State task.
This week my state was Tamil Nadu.
The thali includes;

  1. Rice
  2. Adai Dosa
  3. Mix veg poricha
  4. Sambhar
  5. Poriyal

 • Rice is cooked in a normal way by pressure cook or steam.
 • Adai Dosa is made of mix dal i.e. Toor,Chana,Urad along with Rice and Red chilli.
 • Mix veg poricha is cooked by using steamed moong dal, steamed vegetables and coconut+spices paste
 • Sambhar is cooked in so many varieties all over the country. I used Arhar and Masar Dal mix. The vegetables whichever is available can be added with tadka of Mustard seeds, kadipatta,sesame seeds,hing.
 • Poriyal is cooked with beans, carrots and grated coconut.

So,Tamil Nadu as every South Indian State prefers coconut in the food. The taste differs in a positive way. The use of coconut oil in South Indian cooking is delicious.

Golgumbaz| Whispering Gallery| Karnataka|Travel|2cleverfools

The Mughal architecture is famous for it’s huge structure and uniqueness. Bijapur now named as Vijayapur was under the rule of Mohammed Adil Shah. This mausoleum was built in 1656.

Golgumbaz means circular dome. This monument is huge and shows the elegance of the Mughal architecture. The central dome has a diameter of 44 meters and is second largest in the world. The uniqueness of the dome is that it stands without the support of the pillar.

Inside the mausoleum there is a circular whispering gallery. Another special feature is that even a small whisper in the gallery is amplified and is carried across 40 meters in the vast dome and can be clearly heard. A special feature is that the sound made inside is echoed 7 times.

Vijayapur is in Karnataka. You can travel by bus,train. It is 530kms from Bengaluru and the nearest airport is Belgaum which is 214kms away.

Vegetable Noodles |Desi Chinese|Healthy|2cleverfools

Desi Chinese Food is favorite amongst all. Giving our style taste to the Chinese food is Desi style.

Noodles are loved by many people. Adding vegetables to it adds health too. Have a look at the recipe of Vegetable Noodles

Ingredients:

  • Boiled noodles.
  • Chopped vegetables ( bell pepper, cabbage,beans, carrots, onion or other vegetable of your choice).
  • Sauce (Soya,Green Chilly,Red Chilly, vinegar)
  • Ginger Garlic paste.
  • Black pepper and salt.
  • Oil

Cook in this way:

  • Boil the noodles,add a spoon of oil and salt to the water.
  • Strain the water now add these noodles to the ice cold water. Strain it again, add oil to it and keep it aside.
  • Take a pan,heat oil, add chopped vegetables and saute it a little. (The flame should be high in complete cooking).
  • Add sauce,salt and pepper.
  • Add noodles at last and just toss it a little for 2-4minutes.
  • And they are ready to eat.

Khatta Petha|Himachali Khatta Kaddu|Pahari dish|2cleverfools

People of Himachal Pradesh are fond of eating savory food. The variety of food here is delicious. Most of the food is not so famous inspite of it’s rich taste. Let’s have a look at one today.

Make your taste buds ready for this yummy recipe.

Ingredients:

  • Petha( pumpkin) – 1kg
  • Aamchur – 2tsp
  • Gur (jaggery) – 4tsp
  • Ginger – 2 small piece
  • Spices – Haldi,Salt,Hing,chilly powder
  • Mustard oil – 4tsp

Cook in this way:

  • Peel and cut the pumpkin into small pieces.
  • Take a pressure cooker and add the pumpkin pieces,spices,aamchur, jaggery,ginger,mustard oil,salt and cook it for 1 whistle.
  • Start open cooking it to make it dry (cook till the watery consistency dries).
  • After an hour or when the Petha cools to add a smoky flavor to it,heat a small piece of coal and add it the Petha and pour a small tsp of oil to it and cover immediately.
  • Take out the coal piece after 5minutes and add chopped coriander to the cooked Petha and relish this.

Green tomato chutney|EasyToMake |2cleverfools

India has variety of chutney. Chutney is basically something with is grinded and made into a paste. South Indian food has spicy, savory chutney.

Here we have Green Tomato Chutney. Tomato is a all season fruit. Easily available and this chutney is ready in 5-10minute. Have a look.

Green tomato Chutney
Green and Red tomato mix chutney

Ingredients:

  • Green tomato: 5-7 (as needed)
  • Ginger: a small one
  • Green chillies: 4
  • Jaggery: a small piece
  • Sesame seeds,cumin seeds,salt

Cook in this way:

  • Heat pan,add little oil and roast the tomatoes,ginger,green chillies.
  • Peel the tomato skin.
  • Grind the above ingredients along with jaggery and salt.
  • Prepare a tadka by heating oil,add sesame seeds and cumin seeds to it.
  • Add the tadka to the paste.
  • Chutney is ready

Green Moong Dosa |Healthy and easy |2cleverfools

Moong dal is considered to be healthy. Dosa is the most popular and easy to cook breakfast.

So combining both the things we get Moong Dosa as a outcome. Check out the recipe.

  1. Ingredients
  • Green Moong Dal – 2cups
  • Ginger,garlic,chilly – 2-4 pieces each.
  • Rice flour – 1/2 cup
  • Salt as per taste
  • Baking soda – 1/2 tsp
  • Water to adjust consistency

Cook in this way:

  • Soak Moong Dal overnight.
  • Grind the soaked Moong Dal along with ginger,garlic and chillies.
  • Add water a little to grind it into a paste.
  • Take the Moong dal paste in a bowl, add rice flour,salt and mix it
  • Add water and adjust the consistency as Dosa batter. Add baking soda a pinch.
  • Heat Dosa pan. Take a big spoon full of batter and spread it on the pan like a normal Dosa. Cook on both the sides.
  • Enjoy with coconut chutney or anything you love with.
